‘F.D. Crockett’ to be at Urbanna Oyster Festival
imageThe hard-working restored buyboat “F.D. Crockett,” pride of the Deltaville Maritime Museum and her outreach program, will be carrying the message of the history of Chesapeake Bay watermen, their fisheries and their boatbuilding methods to Urbanna at the end of next week.

Pumpkin carving party is Saturday in Urbanna
Last year Lowe Tide, along with Homegrown Market at 51 Cross Street, held a pumpkin carving/painting party outside, which was so well received that the other merchants in town wanted to be a part of it. So, the 2nd annual Urbanna Pumpkin Carving/Painting Party is set for 1-3 p.m. this Saturday, October 20.

‘42Five’ to perform in Mathews on Oct. 28
imageA cappella hipsters “42Five” will perform their energy-infused five-part harmony performance at Mathews High School at 9889 Buckley Hall Road in Mathews on Sunday, October 28, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door. Youth through high school are admitted free.

‘Wailin’ Woods’ means ‘Scary Halloween’ is near
The extremely popular annual “Scary Halloween in the Park” will be held this year on Wednesday, October 31, from 6-8 p.m. at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park. This is the actual date of Halloween, and the official date to observe Halloween as set by Middlesex County.
