Daffodil show blooms in White Stone
The energy accelerated in the final hour before judging at the 75th Annual Daffodil Show, hosted by the Garden Club of the Northern Neck in White Stone last week. Daffodil growers carrying chattering trays of bulb vases carefully weaved their way through the thickening crowd.
Deltaville Committee gains momentum for July 4th
Last Sunday’s meeting of the Deltaville Centennial Committee produced some more subjects for the July 4th exhibit. The next official meeting of the Centennial Committee will be April 19 at the Deltaville Maritime Museum starting at 1 p.m. Anything for the exhibit can be left at Nauti Nell’s during business hours.
Holly Point Easter: egg hunt, animals, and more
The Annual Holly Point Nature Park Easter Egg Hunt will be this Saturday, April 11, at the park in Deltaville. The park will open to children at 1 p.m. for a craft class, followed by the Easter Bonnet Parade. The Easter egg hunt will start at 2:30 p.m. sharp.
Two Middlesex protests over federal spending
Hundreds of protests against government spending are planned across the country on Tax Day, April 15—including two in Middlesex County. One protest will be at the Urbanna Town Marina at noon, and the other at the Historic Middlesex Courthouse in Saluda from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Easter Stroll is Saturday in Urbanna
“There is no entry fee, no registration, just come and join the Town of Urbanna for some fun!” said an event spokesperson. The Easter Stroll is sponsored by the Town of Urbanna, The Urbanna Business Association, Cyndy’s Bynn and R.S. Bristow Store.
