Lindbergh book now available
“Against Wind and Tide,” the latest book of Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s diaries and letters from 1947 through 1986, is available for sale as a fundraiser for the Deltaville Friends of the Library. This offering precedes a presentation to be given by Lindbergh’s daughter, Reeve Lindbergh, who is also the book’s editor, at the Deltaville Library.
Middlesex Relay for Life begins tonight at CCS
Middlesex Relay for Life events at Christchurch School will run all night from 6 p.m on Friday, May 4, until 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, said event chair Sharon Darnell. “Cancer doesn’t sleep and we’re not going to sleep either,” she said. “I want to thank all of the relay teams in Middlesex County. First Friday Event to feature two artists
Gloucester Arts on Main will salute two artists inspired by nature from totally different points of view when they have the First Friday Event at the Gallery starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 4. The art will remain on display until May 26.
An old superstition handed down from my grandmother was that the tails of cats attract lightning. My mother would put the cats outside when it was thundering and lightning and make us sit away from open doorways. Just to be on the safe side, I always get away from the cat when there is a storm.
