Middlesex Museum to celebrate Black History Month
The Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society invites its members and all county residents and friends to a living history presentation on Thursday, February 18, at 7 p.m. at the historic courthouse in Saluda.

Author to speak on his father, Dr. Morgan Norris Sr.
On Monday, February 15, Dr. James E.C. Norris, a native of Lancaster County and a retired plastic surgeon living in Manhattan, will discuss his just published book, “Fight On, My Soul: A colored doctor’s battle against disease, discrimination and ignorance in rural Jim Crow Virginia.“
‘Snuggle up with Peter Rabbit’ at the library
This is the second year that the Library of Virginia is offering a winter reading program. For more than two decades the state library has sponsored the hugely popular summer reading program in the state’s public libraries. The winter program is designed to instill a love of reading in young children by having the child’s parent or other special adult read to them.
