Bay Aging moving forward with ‘neighbors helping neighbors’
“If it wasn’t for the Tartan I’d have to go on food stamps,” she said. In the months she has lived there, Furey has become an activist for many Bay Aging programs and earned a reputation as a “spark plug” for helping her neighbors. But she is quick to explain, “Everyone here looks out for everyone else.” It is a community spirit that may be key to the future of Bay Aging as well.

MPIP 2nd Annual fishing trip is set for August 21st
The Middlesex Partners in Progress (MPIP) will hold their 2nd annual fishing trip for Middlesex County youth and their families on August 21, 2011. This year 20 kids will fish on the Rappahannock River, learn about the indigenous river life, be treated to lunch, and take a tour of the museum.
