Orchestra to present string recital
The Northern Neck Orchestra (NNO), in association with the Virginia Chapter of American String Teachers Association (VASTA), will present “Opus 2,” a string recital, at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury in Irvington at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 12.
Black History Program is Thursday at museum
On Thursday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m. the Middlesex County Museum invites the public to attend its 2012 Black History Program. Students participating in Immanuel Baptist Church’s tutorial program will present a skit and song titled “Awaken the Dream: W.A.K.E. U.P.!” It is a creative tribute to the families and students who helped integrate Middlesex County Public Schools in 1963.
RILL course to look at Mexico
The Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning (RILL) will explore Mexican history and current events in the upcoming three-session course “Why is Mexico Mexico?—Looking to our South,” taught by Morris D. Busby.
Humane Society auction is Saturday in Gloucester
