‘A Night to Remember’ to showcase local talent
“A Night to Remember” to benefit the Central Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad and Auxiliary will be held Saturday, March 8, from 7-10 p.m. at St. Clare Walker Middle School in Locust Hill. This event will be hosted by Rev. Edward Harrow and “Eddie Boy” Harrow.

Concert to feature Japanese jazz artist
imageHiroya Tsukamoto, a composer, guitarist and singer-songwriter from Kyoto, Japan, will perform at Gloucester Arts on Main from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, March 15. There will be a cash bar. Gloucester Arts on Main is at 6580B Main St. in Gloucester.

Donors make Habitat work in Middlesex
imageAt Habitat, the team works to eliminate “substandard” housing in Middlesex. There are lots of county residents that struggle to adequately heat and cool their homes. Habitat is almost done with construction in Deltaville, and has just started clearing a new site in Saluda on Raven Road.

Kilmarnock author publishes book on Virginia Tech massacre
imageDavid Cariens Jr.’s new book, “Virginia Tech: Make Sure It Doesn’t Get Out,” is due to be published on March 4 by Amazon Createspace. Cariens, of Kilmarnock, is a retired CIA officer who currently teaches intelligence analysis and writing in the U.S. and abroad.
