Zoar to host Women’s World Day of Prayer

On Monday, November 4, Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville will host the 2013 Women’s World Day of Prayer. The theme is “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.” All are invited and welcomed to join in this special prayer time.

The gathering will start in the sanctuary at 11:30 a.m. with remarks from Pastor John Snow followed by music and singing. At noon, the ringing of the church bells will signify the beginning of the prayer time. Individuals will lead prayers for the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and our peninsula.

Joan Walden, a WMU representative, said, “At 12:30 p.m. everyone is invited to the fellowship hall for drinks and cookies. Bring a sandwich and join us in this time for fellowship. We look forward to making friends and encouraging one another.”
