Zoar Baptist Church is cool this month

Pastor John Snow is challenging the children to learn the books of the New Testament during Music Camp after eating a light dinner at Zoar Baptist Church on Wednesday evenings this summer. The children are searching for the books in a word search. “This is one of the many activities we are offering at the camp,” commented Pastor Snow.

Do you want to be “cool” this month? Come to Zoar and join in the Operation Arctic Music Camp. Zoar is teaching “cool” music and will perform at the end of camp. It takes place on Wednesday evenings from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for all children ages 4-12 throughout July.

The performance will take place on Sunday August 4, at Zoar’s beach service at 8:30 a.m. on Stingray Point. “The children are having so much fun learning about music and we are enjoying their enthusiasm,” said Andrea Linnell, music coordinator and teacher. “Each child gets to sing, handle instruments and create music through active participation.”

In addition to learning about music, there is a light dinner served at 5 p.m. The children are then divided into groups. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the groups take turns going to music or they are enjoying games and learning about the Bible and biblical principles. “The time goes by so quickly, and the children have been delightful,” said Amy Holmes, one of the teachers. “Come join in the fun and explore the treasures of the Arctic and the coolest book on earth!”

Registration is held each Wednesday in the fellowship hall (side door) prior to dinner at 5 p.m. at Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville on Route 33 next to the DCA building, 17097 General Puller Highway.
