Volunteers still needed for Vacation Bible School

A teacher for children who have completed grades 4 and 5 is still needed as well as assistants for three groups for Vacation Bible School in Urbanna.

Providing all necessary volunteers are secured, Vacation Bible School will be held 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, at Urbanna Baptist Church. The week’s theme will be Camp E.D.G.E., “Experiencing and Discovering God Everywhere!”

The program is for children ages 3 (must be toilet trained) to those who have completed grade 5. There will be four groups: preschoolers, children who have completed kindergarten and first grade, those who have completed grades 2 and 3, and those who have completed grades 4 and 5.

Junior and senior high youth are invited to volunteer as helpers with younger students.

After the opening assembly, each group will move every 30 minutes to experience the day’s lesson, music, crafts and games.

Registration forms will be available at the following churches: Urbanna Baptist, Urbanna United Methodist, Saluda Baptist, and Remlik Wesleyan.

Anyone interested in serving as a volunteer should call Carol Palmer at 758-3027.
