Urbanna pastor honored
Members of Urbanna Baptist Church honored their retiring pastor, Rev. Jimmy Maroney, and his wife, Kay, (above) at a luncheon last Sunday. Rev. Maroney has served here as the full-time pastor since 2002 and previously was an interim pastor for several months at Urbanna Baptist on three occasions, beginning in 1986. The Maroneys have served as missionaries and he was director of global missions with the International Foreign Mission Board before accepting the call to Urbanna. His retirement is effective December 31.
