Unitarians to discuss ‘how a small amount of help can change a life’

On Sunday, June 15, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR) Shirley Kinney will present “We’ve Got a Dream! We’ve Got a Dream!”

A dream is what 10 Unitarians have been enjoying ever since Bob Weekley and Shirley Kinney handed out $100 to each of them last November with the instruction to give that $100 away to someone to make a difference in that person’s life. After worrying, planning and thinking, those 10 people are ready to report back to the congregation on how they used their $100 to make a difference. Of course, it’ll take much longer than one Sunday service to make all those reports, so on June 15, the process will begin. Diana Jamison, Sharon Coulter, and Paula Greenwood will tell us how just a small amount can change lives.

The UUFR meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 366 James Wharf Road in White Stone. Coffee and refreshments will follow the service.
