Unitarians to discuss ‘extinction’

Terri Watson will speak on Sunday, March 23, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR). The title of her talk will be “The Earth does not belong to us. We belong to the Earth.”

A brief geological history of the earth will be presented in which the role of extinction will be discussed. “Humans are the first species that are responsible for extinctions that in the past were caused by major changes in the earth,” said Watson. She will personalize the discussion with her 40 years of teaching in the field of earth science.

The UUFR meets every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at 366 James Wharf Road in White Stone. Coffee and conversation will follow the service.
