SRBA women’s retreat set for this weekend

The Women’s Ministry of Southside Rappahannock Baptist Association (SRBA) will host its 9th annual Women’s Retreat on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5, with the theme “Prayer, Praise and Pampering” taken from Proverbs 31:29-30.

The retreat will begin on Friday at 6 p.m. with dinner at Shoney’s in Tappahannock. An evening of entertainment will follow in the conference room at the Holiday Inn at 7:30 p.m. Ladies will learn to tie scarfs, Mary Kay consultants will do facials, mini-massages will be performed and lots of jewelry and clothing will be included. Rev. Edna Ransom will close the evening with words of prayer and praise.

On Saturday at 9 a.m., the group will fellowship at First Baptist Church, Tappahannock, where Rev. Vernon Keeve is the pastor. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the fee is $10 per person. The theme will be shared by the following: Deacon Wilma Shackleford, prayer; Rev. Dr. Geraldine Garnett, praise; and president Diane Johnson, pampering.

Boxed lunches will be available. The men of SRBA and others, including all ladies and youth, are welcome to join us.

If you need additional information, contact president Diane Johnson at 804-832-7023 or Rev. Dr. Geraldine Garnett at 804-785-3973.
