SRBA men’s retreat is Saturday

The Southside Rappahannock Baptist Association (SRBA) Division of Men will hold its 10th annual retreat Saturday, June 5, at First Union Baptist Church in Rexburg. Registration and a continental breakfast will start at 8:30 a.m. and the retreat will be from 9:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. and include lunch.

The retreat leader, Minister Milton W. Robinson, is pastor of First Union Baptist Church at Rexburg (near Tappahannock), where he was assigned in October 2009. He is a native of Warsaw where he spent his childhood Christian growth as a member of Second Baptist Church.

Robinson was licensed to preach by Second Baptist in June, 2000. He later became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Kinsale where he was ordained in 2007.

While a member of New Jerusalem, he also graduated from The Faith Bible Institute, served as associate minister, Sunday school teacher, assistant Sunday school superintendent, men’s ministry president, youth choir director, praise and worship leader, and youth pastor.

Pastor Robinson is a graduate of Virginia State University, where he also became a member of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He is married to his wife of 23½ years, Minister Yvette Robinson. They have three children.

The retreat theme for this year is “Working Together in Love/Making a Relevant Difference.”

Men from SRBA churches in Essex, Middlesex and King and Queen are invited to attend and can bring other interested men.

Call Conrad Hundley (443-5928), current Division of Men president, for more information.
