SRBA men plan retreat Saturday at Angel Visit

The Southside Rappahannock Baptist Association (SRBA) Division of Men will hold its annual retreat on Saturday, June 1, at 8:30 a.m. at Angel Visit Baptist Church in Dunnsville. The retreat will end following lunch at 1:15 p.m.

The retreat leaders will be Rev. Dr. Jeffery Smith, pastor of Union Prospect Baptist Church in Plainview, and Rev. Vernon Keeve, pastor of First Baptist Church in Tappahannock.

The retreat will be hosted by SRBA Men’s Ministry President Deacon Clinton Beale, and men from the 35 churches of SRBA, representing the counties of Essex, King & Queen and Middlesex, will be present. The registration and continental breakfast will start at 8:30 a.m. Opening comments and a devotional period will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m.

“All men are welcome to come and learn how we might better serve our churches, families, and the community at large,” said SRBA moderator Percy E. Pollard Sr. “Having the outstanding retreat leaders focus on education issues and legal issues facing our churches should be an interesting and a timely discussion.
