Signup begins for Vacation Bible School in Urbanna

Urbanna Baptist Church (UBC) and Urbanna United Methodist Church (UUMC) invite children from age 4 through rising 6th-graders to attend Vacation Bible School (VBS) from Monday, June 23, through Friday, June 27, from 9 a.m.-noon. This year VBS will be held at UUMC.

At VBS, children will experience the “Wonders of God” and explore how the ordinary becomes extraordinary with God.

There will be a high-energy opening assembly with music each morning and Bible lessons that reveal “Wonder Words” for following God’s blueprint for our lives. Participants will also expand on what they learn by making art projects, singing new songs, participating in recreational activities, and enjoying tasty snacks.

“Incredible things will happen when the blueprint of God is followed in making something special for a home that is being built right here in Middlesex County by Habitat for Humanity,” said a VBS spokesperson. “Learning how we put feet to our faith through involvement in helping others will give them a ‘wow’ moment each day!”

Parents may obtain a registration form at UBC or UUMC church offices, and return it so VBS officials will know who and how many will attend. “We are excited about working with your children and friends and neighbors to be a part of their summer vacation in a memorable way to help you instill basic Christian values in their lives. Come join the fun!” said the VBS spokesperson.
