‘Rolling River Rampage’ coming to Urbanna churches

Urbanna United Methodist Church and Urbanna Baptist Church are teaming once again to bring the children of the community a week of exciting and enjoyable learning, music, crafts and activities with the Vacation Bible School (VBS) program “Rolling River Rampage!” The VBS will be held July 30 through August 3, 9 a.m. to noon daily, at Urbanna United Methodist Church at 221 Marston Ave., and is for children 4 years old through those entering 6th grade this fall.

“Our kids will be hearing about how Jesus called his Disciples and they found the adventure of their lives while living near the sea of Galilee,” said a VBS spokesperson. “Finding acceptance for our children is so important as they learn that we each are made to be different by God with different gifts and interests but we are all accepted by Him when we seek Him. They will meet Zacchaeus, a wee little man, who found joy in his walk with Jesus. At the end of the day we all are hungry and Jesus shares a meal with His disciples and that is where we can find rest on the river. All we need to do is look out over our beautiful Rappahannock and see that there is peace to be found on the river and that gift of peace is given to each of us and our children through Jesus. It is our privilege and pleasure to offer this program to our kids.”

Register your child by completing a registration form available at both church offices, or by contacting Becky Holloway at or 804-512-9402.
