Revival services begin Sunday at Hermitage
Revival services will be held at Hermitage Baptist Church on Route 17 at Church View beginning Sunday, October 14, at 11 a.m. Services will continue Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. each evening. A fellowship luncheon will take place after the Sunday morning service.
The guest evangelist will be Rev. Dr. Roger Roller of Forest. In a revival service in 1978, Rev. Roller recommitted his life to Christ and began to sense a call into full-time Christian work. He attended Bluefield College and earned a degree in business administration. He then entered Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a master of divinity degree in 1983.
Rev. Roller and his wife Ester formed the Roger Roller Evangelistic Association in 1993. Now in his 20th year as a full-time evangelist, Rev. Roller leads 25 to 30 revivals each year, having conducted over 500 meetings. He has preached overseas on mission trips in Hungary, Cuba, Panama, San Blas Islands, India, Brazil, Honduras and South Africa.
The Rollers’ evangelistic association has provided the funds to build seven churches overseas and partnered with another ministry to build a training center in Uganda. They also support, with grants, college and seminary students who are going into full-time Christian service. They have an associate evangelist in Honduras who is fully supported financially by their ministry.
Special music is planned for each service.
Pastor Rev. Edward Harrow Sr. and the congregation of Hermitage Baptist Church invite the community to attend. If transportation is needed, please call the church office at 758-2636.
