Rev. Eric Robinson to lead revival at Spring Hill
The pastor of Spring Hill Baptist Church, Dr. Chuck McDaniel, invites the public to revival services on Sunday, May 4, through Wednesday, May 7. Services will start at the 11 a.m. worship hour and will be held at 7:30 p.m. each night through May 7 with special music by local talent and the Spring Hill Choir. A nursery will be provided.
The guest evangelist will be Rev. Eric Robinson, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Rev. Robinson is the son of Raymond and Helen Robinson of Cobbs Creek. He was educated in the Mathews County Public School System. He furthered his education at Virginia State University with a degree in Industrial Technology in 1983.
Pastor Robinson received his Christian education at Ebenezer Baptist Church as a young boy. He was later ordained as a deacon by the late Rev. D.C. Rice, and was later called into the ministry in 1984 and licensed in 1985 by Ebenezer Baptist Church.
He was called to pastor Gleaning Baptist Church in Harcum in 1990 where he started several ministries. He served as moderator of the Gloucester Union Relief Association, first-vice moderator of Gloucester-Mathews Baptist Association, and treasurer of the Gloucester Ministers Association. He was called home to be pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in 1994 where he is currently the pastor.
Pastor Robinson is the chief engineer at Haabtec Inc. in King and Queen County. He now serves on the Mathews County Public Schools Advisory Board and YMCA Board. He is married to Melvina Robinson and they have three children, Nicole (27), Eric II (25) and Mariah (16).
