Public invited to Zoar Baptist Church open house on Sunday
Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville celebrated its first service in its newly-rebuilt sanctuary followed by a luncheon and dedication service to a full church last Sunday.
“We are truly blessed by God for His provision of a beautiful sanctuary, which is a tool for ministry to the community,” said Zoar pastor Dr. John Snow. “If you were unable to attend services last Sunday, all are welcomed to the 9 a.m. Bible Study for all ages and worship at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. Children’s Church and nursery is provided for babies, toddlers and children during the service.”
The community has another opportunity to see inside the new church. Zoar will have an open house on Sunday, September 15, from 2-4 p.m. All are welcomed to come take a peek and enjoy some light refreshments. Church members will be available to take visitors on a tour and to answer questions about the new sanctuary.
“Our community has been and continues to be so supportive of us; we invite everyone to tour the sanctuary and the children’s and youth ministry areas,” said Pastor Snow.
The Zoar Quilt and Window Raffle earned over $1,000 for the new sanctuary audio/visual system. The quilt was won by Savilla Pleasants of Deltaville, and the window was won by Grace Kearney of Glen Burnie, Md. “Thank you to all who participated,” said Pastor Snow.
