Mathews man has first book published
Author Paul Stimson of Mathews had a fascinating career in engineering and oceanography. Despite the satisfaction he derived from his profession, he had a nagging desire to write what he calls “theology for the unreligious.”
The book, a compilation of articles he has been writing over a 30-year period is described in the forward as “. . . not for you . . . if you believe in a God who makes lots of rules, and you feel you can live with these rules pretty well, and look forward to the day all those sinful people out there get blasted.”
The book sells for $12.99 and is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and from the author. Stimson will speak on Saturday, July 12, at the Literary Late Bloomers Writers Conference being held for the first time this year from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Williamsburg Regional Library, 515 Scotland St., Williamsburg.
