Lower UMC to begin summer program Sunday

Lower United Methodist Church (LUMC) in Hartfield will begin its summer programs for adults, youth and children this Sunday, July 8. Everyone is invited to come for a free breakfast at 8:30 a.m. From 9-10:30 a.m. children and youth will begin their “Summer Road Trip—Following God’s Road Map.” This Sunday they will get “Slimed!” and learn how God specializes in messy situations. Come dressed to make a mess!

From 9-10:15 a.m. the adults will have their first session of Lifetree Cafe, which is a weekly, hour-long experience that features real people’s stories on film, guided conversation, biblical insights, and time to build relationships.

This Sunday’s session is titled “Can God Love A Mess Like Me?” Join the best selling author of “The Shack,” William Paul Young, as he describes a life of abuse, scandal and shame.

LUMC’s summer programs will be held each Sunday through August 5. All are invited to attend.
