Lower Church plans benefit silent auction
Members of Lower United Methodist Church in Hartfield will hold a silent auction on Saturday, February 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Piankatank River Golf Club clubhouse to help fund a mission trip to New Orleans, Louisiana, the week of April 17-24.
“Much has been accomplished in the four years since Hurricane Katrina struck,” said Rev. Janine Howard, minister of Lower Church. “Yet, there is still plenty of work rebuilding homes, lives and community.”
The team will work under the guidance of the United Methodist Committee on Relief. For more information on the mission trip and silent auction, contact Rev. Howard at 776-6250.
