Literary Union to meet at Lebanon on Sunday

The Middlesex County Literary Union will meet at Lebanon Worship Center in Saluda on Sunday, August 31, at 10 a.m.

There will be two evangelist speakers for the session—Shelia Nicole Latimore and Joel Simpkins. Their topic will be “Holiness.”

The Mt. Zion Baptist Church Youth Department also will use this day as the kickoff for its Prevention Day. There will be information given on drug, alcohol, and tobacco prevention, etc. Materials and information will be provided by the Middle Peninsula Prevention Services in Saluda.

Miss Cydney Fisher will speak to the youth on leadership qualities. Miss Fisher is the HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth) Leadership Ambassador for MHS for 2008. She is a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
The adult lesson will come from James 5:7-18. The topic will be “Prayerful Community.”

Rev. Teresa Sutherlin is the pastor of Lebanon Worship Center.
