‘Liberty University Chamber Singers’ to perform March 4 at Lower Church
Lower United Methodist Church in Hartfield will host the “Liberty University Chamber Singers” Tuesday, March 4, at 7 p.m. This is a free concert and the community is invited to attend.
The Liberty University Chamber Singers has been recognized as one of the premier collegiate choral ensembles in the State of Virginia. In 1989 the group performed at the Virginia MENC Convention and received the highest acclaim. The group has frequently participated in choral festivals and has continually demonstrated the highest quality in choral ensemble performance.
Directed by Dr. Wayne Kompelien, the Chamber Singers is a group of 23 singers, most of them pursuing degrees in vocal performance, music education or choral music concentrations.
“Specializing in advanced choral literature and performing diverse styles of music, the Chamber Singers offers audiences a wonderful program with something that everyone will enjoy,” said a program spokesperson. “Each year the Chamber Singers enjoys the spring tour of ministry and cultivating the talents that God has given them.”
