Joy Club plans activities

The Joy Club (Just Older Youth) will meet at Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Topping on Thursday, March 14, at noon. This club is open to the community and area citizens who would like to attend. Bring lunch. Dessert and beverage will be provided.

The speaker will be Mary Beth Ayers, a cardiac RN who will speak to the club on cardiac problems. 

On March 17, club members will travel to The Living Passover in Norge at the Crossover Community Church, leaving the church at 1:30 p.m.

On April 11, the club will meet and have Frank McCarthy from Visiting Angels to speak on “Care for The Caregivers.” On April 13, club members will go to Swift Creek Theater to see the musical “Honky Tonk Angels.”

On May 9, Judy Mansfield will accompany a representative from Medicare to speak to club members about Medicare and Part D insurance as well as when to apply for your Social Security.

All the meetings and trips are open to the community. Call the church office at 758-5154 to reserve a seat or for more information. “We would love to have you join us at our monthly meetings or on any of our trips,” said a club spokesperson.
