Immanuel plans Youth Day program Sunday

Immanuel Baptist Church of Saluda will celebrate its Youth Day on Sunday, June 13, during the 11 a.m. service. Sister Joan E. Johnson Gosier will be the speaker. Gosier is a 1990 high honors graduate of Hampton University, a 1996 graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan (Ann Harbor), and a 2002 graduate of the Gold Coast School of Real Estate in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She is a substitute teacher in the Middlesex County Public School System, serves on the board of the Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society, is a member of the Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society of Virginia ( MPAAGHS), and is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Gosier is the writer and author of a book titled “Cotton Pickin’ Paycheck.”

All youth of surrounding counties and the public are asked to come and share in this service.
