‘Human Trafficking’ to be discussed at Philippi

“Human Trafficking” will be the discussion topic at Philippi Christian Church at 17276 General Puller Highway in Deltaville from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21. The public is invited.

Sara Pomeroy, the founder of the Richmond Justice Initiative, will speak on the topic of modern day slavery in Virginia, and most  importantly, how we can take action and affect change in our state. The film “Not My Life,” which tells the story of human trafficking and slavery within the context of an apparently normal home life will be shown.

“The purpose is to create awareness of the problem within our community so that we can take steps to support those who are vulnerable,” said a program spokesperson.
