Hermitage Baptist plans Christmas events

“It’s true that the Christmas season is a time of busyness, but we should never forget the reason for the season. Christmas is indeed about Jesus, God’s son, who He sent for us,” said a Hermitage Baptist spokesperson.

Hermitage Baptist Church at Church View has several activities planned to celebrate the coming of the Christ Child.

On Sunday, December 17, at the 11 a.m. service the adult choir will present the musical “Hope Has Hands.” This is a joyous Christmas message, sharing the wonderful news of our hope of salvation. Familiar carols and contemporary songs point to the hope we are given at Christmas.

Also on December 17 at 7 p.m. the Hermitage children will present their Christmas skit titled “New Star.”

Caroling is planned for Friday, December 22, at local nursing homes and to shut-ins.

On December 24 the Christmas Eve/Communion service will be held at 5 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend these special services.
