Hermitage Baptist Church revival begins this Sunday
Fall Revival at Hermitage Baptist Church will begin Sunday, October 13, at 11 a.m. Services will continue October 14-16 at 7 p.m. each evening.
The guest evangelist will be Rev. Tom Stocks from the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. Rev. Stocks was born in Fayetteville, N.C. He lived in Zambia, Africa, with his missionary parents for 10 years where he attended a boarding school for international students. He graduated from Mars Hill University with a degree in sociology, from Appalachian State University with a masters in sociology, and from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a masters of divinity. Rev.
Stocks also graduated from Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond with a doctorate of ministry. He pastored Rosalind Hills Baptist Church in Roanoke for 18 years.
Rev. Stocks is a field strategist for the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. He is responsible for 170 churches in the Shenandoah Valley region. He works as volunteer chaplain for the Roanoke County Police Department, and loves to play golf and handball. To celebrate his 40th birthday he jumped out of an airplane at 15,500 feet.
Rev. Edward Harrow and the congregation of Hermitage invite everyone to join them for the revival at Hermitage Baptist Church at 94 Wares Bridge Road in Church View. Special music will be provided for each service by guests and the church choir.
