Harmony Grove to host free health fair
How high is too high? Do you know your numbers? When is forgetting a problem? When do I need to seek help?
Those who would like to know the answers to these questions, please plan to attend a free health fair for the public at Harmony Grove Baptist Church at the intersection of Routes 33 and 3 near Topping on Saturday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and find out.
There will be blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings (fasting will give better results).
One can learn from Dr. Lemon’s Family Chiropractic, which will offer foot scans and the “Take Shape for Life” weight loss program.
Diane Fix, certified massage therapist, will offer head, neck and shoulder or foot massages.
The Middlesex Lions Club will have their van to provide vision, eye pressure and hearing screening.
The Alzheimer’s Association and Bay Aging will have representatives to provide information and answer questions. A hospice nurse will be present to explain hospice programs and the Heart Association will provide information on heart disease, which is the number one killer, as well as strokes.
A professional nurse will have forms for advance directives (living wills), and one can also learn about the Kilmarnock Free Health Clinic services available to Middlesex County.
Everyone is invited to attend at no charge.
