Harmony Grove plans Easter sunrise service
On Sunday, April 4, Harmony Grove Baptist Church will hold a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. at Locklies Creek Marina off Route 3 at the end of Route 621, which is the road that begins at Eckhard’s Restaurant in Topping.
Light refreshments will follow the service.
From 9:10 to 9:40 a.m. the church will have a “meet and greet time” in the fellowship hall of the church prior to Sunday school for the children and Bible study for the adults at 9:45 a.m.
From 10:45 to 11 a.m. everyone will adorn the cross in the sanctuary with fresh flowers. During the 11 a.m. worship service, the chancel choir will sing “Reign, Jesus, Reign,” a short Easter Cantata, followed by Pastor Roger Collier’s comments on “Their Eyes Were Opened.”
After the worship service, the flowered cross will be moved onto the front lawn of the church for motorists to see as they go past the church on Route 33 or as they turn onto Route 3.
The public is invited to attend all of the Easter activities.
