Harmony Grove collecting shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child project

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s time for the Operation Christmas Child (OCC) project to get under way. OCC is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization, headed by Franklin Graham. The organization collects gift-filled shoeboxes and delivers them to children around the world.

National Collection Week begins on Monday, November 13, and continues through November 20. Harmony Grove Baptist Church is a participating church and is located at 7722 General Puller Highway in Topping. The phone number is 758-5154.

The drop-off hours are as follows: Monday, November 13, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; Tuesday, November 14, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; Wednesday, November 15, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; Thursday, November 16, 4-7 p.m.; Friday, November 17, 4-7 p.m.; Saturday, November 18, 9-11 a.m.; Sunday, November 19, noon-1 p.m.; Monday, November 20, 9-11 a.m.
