Harmony Grove Baptist to host Brunswick stew dinner & revival services
On Saturday, September 29, members of Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Topping will cook and serve Brunswick stew beginning at 5:30 p.m. Members of the church will bake different kinds of bread, prepare desserts, and make a tossed salad to go along with the stew. The dinner is open to the public.
At 7 p.m., all are invited to stay for the beginning of revival services. Rev. Karl Heilman of Sandston Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. The Harmony Grove Quartet will provide special music as will the Harmony Grove Chancel Choir.
On Sunday, September 30, at the 11 a.m. worship service, Rev. Heilman will continue the worship service with the Men’s Chorus of Harmony Grove bringing the message in music along with special music by Rev. Heilman.
On Monday, October 1, at 7 p.m., revival services will continue with Rev. Heilman. Special music will be provided by Kay Gimbert, Mary Johnson and Savilla Pleasants, who are members of Zoar Baptist Church and regular participants with the Chesapeake Chorale, along with the Harmony Grove Chancel Choir.
On Tuesday, October 2, at 7 p.m., the revival services will conclude with Rev. Heilman bringing the message. Special music will be provided by Rev. Hyung Moon, pastor of Urbanna United Methodist Church, along with the Harmony Grove Chancel Choir.
The community is invited and welcome to join in the dinner and revival services.
