Hands Across Middlesex: New facility under way
by Cathy Newcomb
Our April meeting was held at the Church of the Visitation. Thanks so much to the folks there for hosting our important time together. Fourteen members were present and 10 churches were represented.
The development of the new facility seems to be under way. The building color scheme is being chosen. That is always a good sign. Also, a name needs to be chosen to best represent the organizations that will be housed in this new facility. Several ideas are being tossed around. Plans to break ground include a July date with the hope of moving into the new location before Thanksgiving 2009.
I hope everyone was able to read the article in last Thursday’s paper prepared by Lyle Predmore concerning the dinner held at the Cryer’s home honoring the local clergy. The event was, I am sure, a time to remember. Many thanks again go to the Cryer family for their hospitality and generosity.
The next Hands meeting will be held on May 17 at 3:30 p.m. at Remlik Wesleyan Church. The public is always welcome to attend.
