Hands Accross Middlesex needs used appliances
On Sunday, March 16, Hands Across Middlesex will meet at Urbanna Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
The Hands’ mission is to address the needs of the underserved and at-risk individuals, children, families and seniors in Middlesex. The public is welcome to attend the meeting or visit its office and observe how Hands strives to meet this goal and have an opportunity to see if there is an area of interest in which you may wish to participate. We have numerous volunteer openings that ask for as little as two hours a month. Please join us for a mission of helping neighbors in need.
The Hands office in The Cryer Center on Route 33 near Locust Hill is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, or you can call 758-2044.
From our Furniture Barn Team: We currently have a waiting list of clients in need of kitchen appliances such as stoves, washers and dryers. If you are replacing a working appliance, please consider donating it to Hands. Not only will you help a neighbor in need but you will receive a tax deduction. If needed, please call to arrange a pick-up.
Our Home Repair Team offers the following warning: After a harsh winter, take time to walk around your house and examine the roof, doors and windows. Make sure the ice and snow hasn’t pulled gutters, shingles or flashing loose. Water will enter those areas and cause damage if not corrected immediately. If you are a client and need assistance, please contact The Cryer Center.
We want to extend a special thank-you to our Middlesex County friends for your continued support.
