Habitat is building in Saluda

Future homeowner Carla Robertson at the build site of her new Habitat home in Saluda.

by Greg Chambers, President, Middlesex Habitat for Humanity

Habitat of Middlesex is starting construction on its seventh home. Our seventh home will be in partnership with Carla Robertson. Carla and her three boys will take ownership of the home upon completion and will be offered a 30-year mortgage at zero interest and at zero profit to Habitat.

Over the last few months we’ve gotten permits and put in a foundation. Jeff Cox of Cox Termite and Pest Control treated the foundation so that we can have a pest-free home! We are ready to build!

Habitat of Middlesex is currently seeking donations to support construction costs, and is looking for volunteer construction crews to help with building.

If you or your group would like to help, please call Greg Chambers at 804-832-9496. Donations can be sent to Habitat of Middlesex, P.O. Box 492, Hartfield, VA 23071.
