Grief support groups to meet in March
“When we are grieving the death of someone loved, we need the support and compassion of our fellow human beings. Grief support groups provide an opportunity for this very healing kind of support.”—”Understanding Your Grief” by Alan D. Wolfelt, PhD.
Hospice of Virginia is sponsoring two bereavement education and support groups this spring. They are open to the community and will be held in Tappahannock at the Hospice of Virginia office, every other Tuesday beginning March 5 and ending May 14, and in Kilmarnock at the Lancaster Community Library every other Tuesday beginning March 12 and ending May 21. The time for each group will be 2-3:30 p.m. Choose either location.
Each location’s group is limited to 12 participants. For more information or to reserve a spot in one of these groups, contact Leslie M. Park, bereavement coordinator, at 804-443-4090 or by email at .
