Grafton youth retreat is Saturday at Camp Piankatank

Grafton Baptist Church Youth and Family Retreat will host their Prevention Day Saturday, June 5, at Camp Piankatank in Hartfield. This day will be filled with fun and entertainment for ages 4 and up. The workshop developer will be Camilla Sutherlin.

Registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. and the event will be over at 5:30 p.m. All are invited to participate. There will be a $5 charge per person.

“Please bring an open mind, bag to keep up with your belongings, Bible, bug spray, sunscreen, swimsuit and towel,” said an event spokesperson.

This project is sponsored by friends and families of Grafton Baptist Church, and The Rural Virginia United Coalition, and is fiscally managed by the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board. This prevention program is funded through a federal grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

The Youth and Family Day will continue at Grafton Baptist Church on Sunday at 11 a.m. when Minister Lamar Gresham will be the guest speaker.
