‘Gospel Explosion’ benefit for Red Cross is Saturday

Zion Branch Baptist Church in Saluda will have a Men’s Day program Sunday, July 27, at 3:30 p.m. The singing ministry will be “Glorious A Cappella” (above) from Richmond. The speaker will be Robert Day from Columbia, S.C.

A “Gospel Explosion” to benefit the Gloucester Chapter of the American Red Cross will be held Saturday, July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Gloucester High School auditorium.

Tickets are $7 per person or $10 per couple. Call 642-9478 for tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the Gloucester County Red Cross office, Every Day Victory Christian Book Store, Gloucester Office Supply, Signature Styles Beauty and Barber Shop, and Twice Told Tales.

Featured performers will include “Daughters of the King,” “Laymetha Reed & The Sounds of Rapture,” “Wayne Methany Gospel Band,” “Seeds of Faith,” “Soldiers of Vision,” and “The Coburn Family.”

Proceeds will go toward operating expenses of the Gloucester Red Cross.
