Fund established to help Urbanna family
An Urbanna family has recently experienced a life-changing event and the community is rallying around them in love and support.
At age 43, Paul Chodorov suffered a stroke on January 28, 2009. The stroke has left him paralyzed on his right side, and with Apraxia and Aphasia (damage to his speech and language skills). While he is responding somewhat to rehabilitation, his prognosis is uncertain.
“Paul and his wife Lisa have played an integral role in the Middlesex community in the last few years, specifically with their contribution to the Urbanna Oyster Festival,” said a fund spokesperson. “Paul gave selflessly of his time in many areas and Lisa was known as ‘Mama Lisa’ to the queen and spat contestants for four years. She brought new life to the queens’ competition, being the chairperson of the event.”
In order to assist Paul and his family with the costs associated with this misfortune, friends have established an account at Citizens & Farmers Bank for the community to express its support through monetary donations. The Middlesex branch of C&F is located at 2608 General Puller Highway, Saluda. Locations of other branches can be found at http://www.cffc.com.
“The Chodorov family is grateful for this kind expression of love and support,” said the spokesperson.
