The Lebanon Baptist Church family of Saluda, in coalition with Gladman Music, invites the public to attend a concert by living gospel legend Evangelist Dorothy Norwood on Saturday, September 11, at 5 p.m.

Norwood has been ministering in song, stories, and word for over 50 years. She began her gospel career in 1956 singing with Mahalia Jackson, Rev. James Cleveland and “The Caravans.” She has earned the title “The World’s Greatest Storyteller,” and was inducted into the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame twice. Norwood has received and been nominated for numerous Grammy, Dove, Stellar and Soul Train Music awards.

“We are honored and privileged to present this Queen of Gospel at Lebanon Baptist Church,” said a church spokesperson. Doors will open 4 p.m.

Also featured will be Bishop Linda D. Henry of New Castle, Del., the Urqhart Family from Ahoskie, N.C., and “Divine Voices of Christ” directed by Laymetha Reed-Guy.

Tickets and seating for this event are limited and can be purchased in advance for $20, or $25 at the door. Tickets for couples are $35 (2 tickets), and VIP ticket packages are also available. Please call (804) 221-3537 or click for advance ticket sales.

“This will be a foot stompin’, hand clappin’, and shoutin’ time in the Lord,” said the church spokesperson.
