Deadline to enter talent show is Sunday
Lower United Methodist Church in Hartfield will host its first “We’ve Got Talent” (WGT) variety and talent show on Saturday, October 5, from 7-9 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
“This is a community event designed for an evening of fun and excitement while highlighting a great community outreach program—our community food bank,” said a show spokesperson.
The local food bank is at the Cryer Center in Locust Hill and provides much-needed assistance to residents in the county.
By bringing non-perishable food items to the WGT show, the cost of admission is only $2 per person.
The WGT committee will accept applications to participate in the show through September 22. Applicants may go to the church website at http://www.lowerumc.com to apply or download an application. There is a $100 prize for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third in the talent competition.
The “celebrity” judges include Mr. Charger 2013 (Clayton Hogge), the famous singer/dancer “Teena” Turner,” and award-winning photographer Steve Kancianic.
