Christ Church Parish plans Thanksgiving Service
On Thursday, November 22, Thanksgiving Day, Christ Church Parish (Episcopal) in Christchurch will hold a simple 10 a.m. Service of Holy Eucharist (Communion).
As “eucharist” is a Greek word for “thanksgiving,” it is most appropriate to join in worship on Thanksgiving Day to offer thanks to God for the blessings of food, family and nation. “So, after you have placed the turkey in the oven, and before the guests begin to arrive, why not come to church for a quiet service and offer thanks to God. All are welcome,” said church rector, Father Paul Andersen.
Christ Church Parish is at Routes 33 and 638 adjacent to Christchurch School.
