Christ Church announces Holy Week Liturgies
The week prior to Easter Sunday is a week of intense worship at Christ Church Parish (Episcopal) as the church relives the final day of Jesus’ life. A series of services at Christ Church underscores these events of Holy Week. They are:
- Maundy Thursday—The 7 p.m. Liturgy celebrates the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
- Good Friday—The noon Liturgy and Stations of the Cross provide an opportunity to walk with Jesus on the road to Calvary and his crucifixion.
- Holy Saturday—The 7 p.m. Vigil of Easter provides an opportunity to re-hear the salvation story contained in the Holy Scriptures and then to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus at the first Liturgy of Easter.
- Easter Sunday, April 12—Services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. will celebrate the Resurrection with sung festival liturgies of Holy Communion.
Christ Church Parish (Episcopal) is located at Routes 33 and 638 adjacent to Christchurch School.
