Calvary youth to present ‘Moment in Black History’
On Sunday, March 7, Calvary Baptist Church at Christchurch will celebrate its its 119th anniversary and final Sunday of “A Moment In Black History” with a presentation from the youth of the church on “Black Inventions/Inventors.”
A “soul food” lunch will follow.
At 2:30 p.m., the church’s African-American Slave Band will perform under the leadership of Pastor Paul Pleasants.
There also will be a church hat fashion show. Women and men are welcome to bring their finest hats to model.
The community is invited.
