African pastor to preach at Friendship Baptist Sunday

Friendship Baptist Church in Hartfield is delighted to announce the arrival of Pastor Tukakira Victor from Kabale, Uganda, East Africa, on Friday, July 25.

Pastor Victor will be visiting the Middle Peninsula area for several weeks. He will preach at Friendship Church this Sunday, July 27, at the 11 a.m. Celebration Service and again at a special evening service at 7 p.m.

Pastor Victor is the pastor of Mwanjari Soul Winner Church in Kabale and head of the Tree of Life Ministries International. From his church in Kabale he has established 17 other churches.

“Pastor Victor is a powerful evangelist and an anointed preacher,” said a church spokesperson. “You will not want to miss meeting and hearing him while he is in Virginia. Pastor Victor is preaching in Kansas with wonderful results. He was there last year and was well received by people from a number of different denominations.”

Walt McKibbon, pastor of Friendship Church, met Pastor Victor last year when he went to Uganda. Pastor McKibbon preached in Pastor Victor’s church, participated in the Kabale evangelistic crusade, and taught at the pastors’ conference in that city. Pastor McKibbon considers Pastor Victor a dear friend and brother in Christ. He thoroughly enjoyed worshiping at Pastor Victor’s church, and was impressed by the zeal of the followers of Christ in Uganda.

A series of home meetings and church meetings are being planned.  Those who would like to meet Pastor Victor and invite him to a church, mission organization, or home, contact McKibbon at 693-5503 or 804-832-2836.
