A momentous undertaking

The Church of the Visitation recently hosted Greg Dougherty, pictured above (center) with Pastor Gerry Kaggwa, who is holding a statuette of Our Lady of Fatima, and some of his parishioners. The Church of the Visitation recently hosted Dougherty, who set off from Miami on June 13 and hopes to complete a 1,400-mile row up the Intracoastal Waterway to New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral by late September. The purpose of his row is to promote the message of Fatima as God’s peace plan for the world and to encourage the faithful to pray the Rosary every day as Our Lady requested. Dougherty sought a haven last week from some impending inclement weather and contacted the church for support. It directed him to Deltaville where he spent his first evening at Dozier’s Marina. Subsequently, he was transported to the church which cared for him until his departure the next day on his momentous undertaking.
