A joyful visit from Visitation
Last Thursday members of Church of the Visitation came to The Cryer Center to prepare the weekly BackPackBuddy Club packs. They made quick work of loading over 100 bags for children at Middlesex Elementary and St. Clare Walker Middle schools. These include child-friendly meals to support club members for the weekend. Each has two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinner meals plus a few snack items.
The BackPackBuddy Club program is supported by the Central Virginia Food Bank and donations from the Middlesex community.
“We are very proud that the residents of Middlesex have provided the needed support for every child selected for the program by the school system,” said a program spokesperson. “We extend a special thank-you to Church of the Visitation and all of our supporters in Middlesex.”
